TGFILE holds the teaching group information, the tutor or teacher's name for menus and a code to go with each record (usually 4 characters). It is generated during the Create file procedure and obviously each TGFILE for each year group is different. If setting takes place things could become further complicated by the fact that filing is primarily based on tutor groups within a subject. Sets could take the place of tutor groups, but the ability to move from subject to subject within a tutor group becomes significantly more complicated and program modifications would be required.
